Hard No is a Naarm/Melbourne based band making music for the fierce and feral.
Composed of women and non-gender conforming members, the band is passionate about centering marginalised voices.
Composed of drummer Rania Pappas, bassist Mazzi-Rose Esparon, guitarist Elly Halloran and lead vocalist Cece Tsan, the band formed 2 years after graduating from high school. The members continued their love for music and performing, each bringing their own unique musical influences to Hard No’s music.
The band combines punk instrumentation with pop melodies and feminist lyrics about resisting enforced silence and marginalisation, not with a soft yes, but with a Hard No.
