  • Optus Community Group

Mexbourne Dance Company is a Melbourne-based community group dedicated to sharing the richness of Mexican culture through folkloric dance. Showcasing vibrant costumes, music, and traditions from regions like Jalisco, Veracruz, and Sinaloa, our performances celebrate both heritage and community. We’ve proudly performed at Moomba, Bendigo Easter Festival, and national Independence Day events, fostering inclusion, cultural pride, and the multicultural spirit of Australia.

A large group of performers pose outdoors in colourful traditional Mexican attire. The group includes individuals wearing vibrant dresses with wide, flowing skirts in shades of blue, pink, yellow, orange, and green, decorated with intricate patterns and ribbons. Others wear charro-style outfits with sombreros. Behind them are banners, including one with the Mexbourne logo and an Australian flag, set against a backdrop of modern buildings, tents, and clear blue skies.
