Four people stand together in front of a red brick wall with sunlight casting soft shadows. The group is dressed in casual, stylish clothing: one wears a white shirt with a cap, another has a colourful patterned jumper and jeans, the third wears a brown top with dark pants, and the fourth is in a light short-sleeved shirt with cargo-style trousers. The setting appears urban and relaxed, with a mix of textures from the brickwork and clothing creating visual interest.

Velvet Bloom is a genre-blending collective fusing soul, pop, funk, folk, and indie into rich, cinematic soundscapes. Led by the soulful and magnetic Maddy Herbert, the band crafts emotionally resonant music that’s both expansive and intimate.
Their 2022 EP Glimmer launched a national tour and secured major playlisting on Spotify, setting the stage for continued acclaim. They've since appeared on ABC’s Spicks and Specks and performed at venues like MONA & The NGV, to name a few.
In 2024, Maddy was mentored by Angus & Julia Stone, recording an EP at Sugarcane Mountain Studio. The band's self-titled 2025 debut album sparked a 23-date national tour, topped AMRAP charts, featured on 3RRR, SYN, PBS, The J’s, Bandcamp, and received Spotify and Apple Music editorial support.
Winners of St Kilda Festival’s New Music Competition and official artists at BIGSOUND 2025, Velvet Bloom is carving a powerful space in Australia’s contemporary music scene.
