The Slims 2022 release ‘Crooks’ burst onto the scene as a surprise to many with its uncanny blend of Psychedelia and Americana. Found somewhere between the reverb-soaked guitar sounds of The Shadows and the vast, evocative spirit of Sergio Leone's Spaghetti Westerns.
After a slew of singles, the band released their debut EP in the summer of 2024, capturing a more refined and explosive sound. The release spent a month in the AMRAP Top 10 Metro charts and received solid support from community radio and Triple J.
Over the course of the year, the band has amassed over one million streams across their catalog thanks to a growing and dedicated global fanbase. The band are now currently recording their Sophomore EP, due to be released in early 2025 via Mandatory Music.
