MAGNETS is the electrifying solo project of Siobhan McGinnity, a bold indie-pop force known for her hyper-colour aesthetic and sparkling indie productions. Her work blends addictive hooks with emotionally resonant songwriting and a fearless commitment to disability advocacy.

In 2017, MAGNETS debuted with EP Perpetual Motion, earning a publishing deal with Gaga Music. In 2023, she returned with Down, a hook-driven single whose striking clip was named “Video of the Week” by Rolling Stone. Her 2024 debut album Diplacusis, produced by ARIA-nominated Terry Mann, drew critical acclaim with every single playlisted on rage ABC, an Honourable Mention at the Berlin Music Video Awards, a triple j Unearthed Top 5, to multiple “Best Of” inclusions.

MAGNETS’ aesthetic is immersive, vivid and avant guard, brought to life through video, costumery, and set design. In 2025, she is developing new work through the APRA 23% Mentorship with acclaimed artist Mo’Ju, signalling her most ambitious chapter yet.
