What began as a bedroom production project has expanded into an expansive 7-piece ensemble that draws inspiration from cinematic film scores, playful exotica, electronic jazz and experimental pop.
Kitsch Kitchen’s live set takes the listener on a journey through jangly piano melodies, soaring saxophone, delicate strings and ethereal synth textures, creating an immersive tapestry of sound and colour.
The brainchild of drummer and touring artist, Nick Reid (Cousin Tony’s Brand New Firebird), Reid has channeled years of musical experience into this deeply personal project. The latest release, Fractures feels alive with collaboration and creative energy, showcasing the atmospheric piano performances of sound artist Zoltan Fecso (Fractures) and composer Peter Corrigan (Tessellate) while Oliver Whitehead’s powerful and emotive saxophone adorns the majority of the EP.
