New to the scene Skye Taikato is swiftly making waves… 

Proud and culturally strong Gunditjmara/Maori woman Skye is hitting the festival circuit.

Currently performing with Brett Clarke she has also joined Amy Saunders (her mum), Alan Brown (dancer/songwriter) Sally Dastey in some very memorable performances.  Cutting a CD with Tjudin Band (Amos Roach, Casey Atkinson and mentor Dave Arden) was the highlight of 2006. 

Locating to country Skye is currently involved with the Toongkateeyt Yakeen Music Project developing as a songwriter and is in pre-production for her forthcoming CD ‘Skye’s the Limit’.

Recent festival performances include: Tarerer Festival 07/08,09 Wunta Fiesta and Port Fairy Folk Festival,an also Black Harmony Day
