What you need to know about Festival Sunday


Alcohol
The St Kilda Festival precinct is a dry zone. On Sunday 14 February alcohol consumption is only permitted within designated licensed areas.

Road Closures
On Festival Sunday The Esplanade, Lower Esplanade, Cavell Street and much of Fitzroy, Acland and Carlisle Streets will be completely closed to through traffic.

Refer to the road closures map for details of all road closures and areas that are open to residents only.
 

This Festival is a car free zone.
Trams, trains, buses, cycling or walking are the best options to get to the Festival as much of St Kilda will be affected by road closures on Festival Sunday.
Catch public transport - you’ll thank yourself and so will the environment.

Keep it Clean
Get down but don’t get dirty!
Help keep St Kilda clean by putting your rubbish into one of the many bins around the site on Festival Sunday.

Keep it Green
Get here and celebrate but keep our air and our bay clear! Travel responsibly and be sure to use the recycling waste stations provided on Festival Sunday - separate your paper, glass and plastic.

- Sunscreen: don’t let sunburn ruin your festival
- Hat: ditto the above
- Water: fun times can work up a thirst
- Comfy shoes: there’s a lot to see and a lot of ground to cover.
