Welcome to the St Kilda Festival

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

Heading into its 27th year, the St Kilda Festival is Australia’s premiere outdoor street festival. It attracts huge crowds, utilises St Kilda’s stunning foreshore and celebrates the cream of Australia’s musical talents.

After a brief hiatus, the St Kilda Festival returned in 2007 with renewed energy and a whole lot of local support. During our time off we welcomed two new partnerships who played a significant role in bringing the Festival back. We are now looking forward to a four-year partnership with Arts Victoria, our Government Partner and FOXTEL, our Principle Sponsor.

The St Kilda Festival has been produced by the City of Port Phillip for the last 26 years and is the backbone of the Festival - it provides key funding, core staff and resources that have allowed the Festival to grow and expand each year.

The City of Port Phillip is known and recognised for its commitment to the arts and festivals. Its flagship events – the St Kilda Festival and St Kilda Film Festival – are as world renowned for their high quality as much as their diversity and are stand out events in a crowded cultural calendar.

Yalukit Wilam Ngargee – On Saturday 2nd February we invite you to come down to O’Donnell Gardens to take part in Yalukit Wilam Ngargee,a free outdoor Indigenous Festival featuring music, dance and Indigenous culture, and a welcome to everyone to spend the next week in St Kilda.

Live N Local – Kicking off on Sunday 3rd, February and taking you through to Saturday 9th, February we once again bring you Live N Local, which includes an action packed schedule of outstanding local talent showcased in some of St Kilda’s best venues. (Stay tuned for more details on Live N Local events and programming next week!)

Festival Day – And finally the biggest day of them all, on Sunday 10th, February!
