Environmental Management Plan Brief 2009
 
1. Yalukit Wilam Ngargee Environmental Vision.
 
The Yalukit Wilam Ngargee will work towards producing the lowest possible environmental footprint. Aiming to influence and work together with festival stakeholders and contractors’ environmental operations and inspiring festival visitors to take responsibility for the reduction of their own environmental impact.
  
2. Yalukit Wilam Ngargee Environmental Goals.
 
Specific festival environmental goals:
v     Waste minimisation
v     Sustainable energy consumption
v     Water usage
v     Sustainable transport
v     Food and beverage delivery
v     Measurement of festival environmental impact.
 
3. Yalukit Wilam Ngargee Office.
 
The following are the obligations of the Festival Office in order to achieve the goals of the festival EMP:
v     Provision of infrastructure consistent with the goals of the EMP.
v     Provision of information to festival  personnel
v     Provision of information to festival stakeholders
v     Provision of information to festival contractors & stall holders
v     Provision of information to festival visitors.
 
4.    Yalukit Wilam Ngargee Contractors and Stall Holders.
 
Environmental operations of contractors and stall holders:
v     Waste minimisation
v     Sustainable energy consumption
v     Water usage
v     Sustainable transport
v     Food and beverage delivery
v     Measurement of environmental impact.
 
5.   Yalukit Wilam Ngargee  visitors.
 
Considerations for festival visitors:
v     Thoughtful waste disposal
v     Utilize sustainable transport to arrive and depart festival
v     Have a deadly time without leaving a trace.
